Chasing Angles:
How I See the Game
Every game is unique and I want to tell the story of each one I shoot from start to finish. The challenge is to give the viewer something they've never seen before. It's my mission to creativly capture the side of sports that fans don't see.

I caught a series of lucky breaks last fall starting with getting hired by Vype Media with almost no experience, living close to St. Johns, and being scheduled to film there every week. Working for Vype got me on the field, and I used my dads old Nikon to take my first photos at a school that needed a photographer.
There are so many variables out of my control that have lined up perfectly that I can't help but feel like this is what I'm meant to be doing. I previously had a series of risks and failures that eventually led me to finding what I truly love. I'm grateful for them all.

There was a two month period last summer between me picking up my dads old camera and shooting my first game. I would go to downtown Houston and do street photography to learn my camera settings in preparation for football season.

Me, severely underdressed, with my guy Cole at the St. John's lacrosse end of the year party. I thought it was a pool party... my fault.

With my boys Mac, Hanley, and Preston at a Stangs tournament in Dallas this summer. I'm super grateful for the opportunity to shoot video with Stangs and I'm looking forward to continue working with this squad in the fall.

I'm excited to see where my camera will take me in the future, but right now I'm really focused on being present shooting whatever is in front of me. I have so many more games to shoot and ideas in my head that need to be executed and shared with you all. I can't wait to create them. Follow along my journey at St. John's and as I work my way up to my goal of photographing NBA games.
